Optimised electrostatic control –

Increased efficiency for winding and packaging units

ENULEC is expanding its technology with a high-end solution for the printing, coating and converting sectors. The new TRIPLE MASTER – static control system controls and eliminates electrostatic charge in the winding and converting area of film processing with unparalleled reliability.

Presented for the first time at DRUPA 2024 this spring, the new product is already generating enthusiasm as it now directly addresses the converting and coating industries and promises efficient solutions for eliminating unwanted static charges in the processing of film materials.

ENULEC offers highly efficient and intelligent solutions for controlling static charges both on the free-running substrate web and on the winding units.

ENULEC’s latest technology concept, the ENULEC® TRIPLE MASTER – Static Control System, intervenes in the charge state of a film in good time. The electrodes are aligned and designed in such a way that the charge on the film surface is reduced and, in a second step, the charge in the intermediate layers of the film carrier is neutralized. This can be done over both short and long distances. Similar to a suction device, the electrostatic charges are literally “sucked off” before and after each winding unit and the film is neutralized for the subsequent work steps.

If no suitable measures are taken to reduce electrostatics, every production step means an increase in electrostatic charge

A film never forgets!

  • The memory performance of a film is comparable to that of an elephant. It forgets nothing.
  • All the energy it encounters in its manufacturing and production process is stored in the layers of the substrate and affects subsequent production processes.

The voltage can rise up
to 300,000 Volt

Film and paper webs experience dangerous electrostatic charges as they pass through production lines and run over rollers or winders. Both friction and the separation of touching objects or material webs generate electrostatic charges. The stronger and more intensive the contact, the higher the electrostatic charge density. Film and composite materials in particular develop electrostatic charges of both polarities during transportation through production machines.

ENULEC is your companion from the idea to the finished product

ENULEC Technology– State of the Art in Digitization & Digitalization

The system operates both with charges on the surface of the substrate web and in the intermediate layers. Based on a closed control loop, the ENULEC® TRIPLE MASTER-Static Control System successfully complements the ENULEC® ESA STATICLOOP 360º and offers maximum machine efficiency, production reliability and cost-effectiveness in the areas of printing and finishing for the entire production line.

Ready for the future – closed-loop process control

ENULEC’s iterative process control controls the discharge bars according to the measured values, which break up the charges even in the intermediate layers and, in a second step, literally “suck” them off the substrate surface. Based on the basic configuration, the TRIPLE MASTER concept can be expanded to meet your requirements according to the special specifications of your materials or production processes. We would be glad to advise you in a personal meeting.
