We are in the follow-up phase of the DRUPA trade fair and we are still receiving feedback on this great EVENT. Once again, we would like to thank all our customers, partners and friends around our beautiful globe.
DRUPA was and is regarded as “the leading global trade fair for printing technologies”. On the one hand, it represents the state of the art in the industry and provides information about the numerous forward-looking innovations in direct international comparison, and on the other hand it offers the opportunity for top-class knowledge transfer, dialog and networking with global industry experts, according to Messe Düsseldorf.
The most important topics were sustainability and the switch to digital production processes.
These include:
- Fast production
- Elimination of human error
- Lower production costs in terms of labor, material and waste
- Minimization of set-up and downtimes
- Achieving the highest quality standards
- And finally, maximizing overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
These are topics that ENULEC has been confronted with for many years and has dedicated itself to in its research and development.
At DRUPA, ENULEC was able to present its latest technology concept for electrostatic charge control, both in classic gravure printing and for the areas of coating and converting.
Both patented systems are based on closed-loop data processing. In contrast to open control loops, closed control loops do not require any input from human operators. This means that, apart from the settings made by the control systems, they work automatically and independently. With closed control loops, the action depends entirely on the process variable.
ENULEC’s latest technology concept, the ENULEC® TRIPLE MASTER – Static Control System, intervenes in the charge state of a film in good time. The electrodes are aligned and designed in such a way that the charge on the film surface is reduced and, in a second step, the charge in the intermediate layers of the film carrier is neutralized. This can be done over both short and long distances. Similar to a suction device, the electrostatic charges are literally “sucked off” before and after each winding unit and the film is electrostatically neutralized in an automated process for the subsequent work steps.
As can be read in the reports of the organizers as a conclusion to the fair, we were also overwhelmed by the great interest, the influx and the numerous visitors to our stand. We had some wonderful conversations, were finally able to welcome many customers, partners and friends in person again and were able to make numerous wonderful new contacts.
When you consider that 1,643 exhibitors from 52 nations presented their products at the trade fair and that visitors from 174 countries attended, the trade fair takes on even greater significance given the many hotspots that currently exist in our world. It was a wonderful global get-together in a relaxed atmosphere. We all hope that we can carry some of this forward into our everyday lives.
And we would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the remarkable, interesting and successful days in Düsseldorf.
